Enzai Walkthrough Well, I haven't gotten any writing done, but I have been busy playing some BL dating sims. I wrote up walkthroughs for both and I decided to share them here, even though you can already find them at Arrin Fantasy. The following walthrough contains spoilers and is drawn from the English release of the game. Drawn from a terrible Google translation of a walkthrough for the game (which can be found here: http://mariaelga.easter.ne.jp/office/enzaitop.htm ). Notes: There is no way to save Muca There is no way to save Belbet There is no Io ending There is no way to save Guys from getting raped over and over again in this game, or even to prevent him from starting to enjoy it. Abandon all hope of that. When there are choices to be made that are not stipulated in these instructions, following the Ending 1 conditions (unless otherwise noted) and they will lead you along that ending's path. If they are choices that are not in the Ending 1 conditions, and not in the conditions for the ending you are trying for, your choice probably doesn't matter. Ending 1 (Standard Ending) Sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Open the box first Stay out to have fun (before first trial) Stay in your cell Look for Evan in the library Don't go with Jose Return to the workroom As long as you satisfy these conditions, you will always get this ending. If you trip up on any other ending's conditions, you will default to this one (as long as you still satisfy this one's conditions). In Ending 1, Guys is freed after the second trial and goes to live with his parents in the countryside. He determines to "live in the memory of those he left behind." Basically this means that none of the other subplots are salvaged and everyone else presumably either die in prison or go on with their lonely lives; but Guys is fine... Ending 2 (Sad Lusca Ending) Sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Open the box first Get some rest (before the first trial) Do as Lusca says (don't smoke) Hide the handcuffs Stay in your cell "It's nothing." (to guard in workroom) Wait in your cell (Io's Lure) Take Io to his cell Go with Jose This ending is basically the Lusca path (Ending 5) without getting the notebook from Jose. There are a few more conditions required, but basically, it is that path without the notebook (therefore you can't win the second trial). In Ending 2, Guys tries to escape after taking out the trash. He wants to find Lusca and give him the scarf his mother sent him because he wants Lusca to know that someone is waiting for him. This is actually the beginning of Ending 9 with the ladder, but because you have satisfied all of the Lusca conditions, Lusca is at the prison this night and holds you as you bleed to death. Lusca then goes on to visit Guys' grave some time later. Very depressing. Ending 3 (Shion Ending) Sit with Jose Find something else to do Go wash your clothes Prepare the tools first Open the box first Stay out and have fun (before the first trial) Stay in your cell Pretend not to notice (Jose's food in the cafeteria) Look for Evan in the library Don't go with Jose Return to the workroom (from toilet) The Shion Ending only becomes available after you have unlocked at least one of the "love endings" (any winning ending other than 1 and 2). In Ending 3, Guys gets released from prison before Shion and waits for his release. They then go to work and live together and Shion makes a living as a cook. All the other characters (Lusca, Evan, Vallewida, Jose, Io) have inexplicably survived and come to visit Guys and Shion in their restaurant and they have a party. Ending 4 (Vallewida Ending) Do not sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Choose the lot above Go to the right Open the box first Stay in your cell Look for Evan in the Library Don't go with Jose Return to the workroom (from toilet) Sit with Vallewida (at dinner) This ending feels like it is the trickiest, since it overlaps with so many other endings that if you happen to satisfy one of those endings' conditions you lose this one. You might be able to still get this ending without having sex with Vallewida (I can't remember), but why would you want to do that? Guys only gets to be on top twice in this damned game! My problem with this ending is that it is always ambiguous about the nature of Guys' and Vallewida's relationship. Guys has sex with Vallewida and Vallewida, despite being in a hallucinating state when he says it, says he wanted to do it with Guys and in fact seduced him. After these facts are revealed the romantic aspect of their relationship fizzles and reverts to a more awkward friendship-like one. Helpful hints: Choosing the lot above results in witnessing the painting rape scene, in which you later help clean Vallewida off. It is important to go to the right. Vallewida needs to save you from those guys in order for you to bond further. It is important to look for Evan in the library and focus on research. It is important to sit with Vallewida at dinner. This interaction is the pivotal moment in the path to this ending. It is also the only path that leads you to this choice in the game, so when you get to it you pretty much know which path you are on. In Ending 4, you are released from prison and are very upset to find out that Vallewida is probably going to die. You speak to Lusca about it, after which he discovers the papers in the crucifix and it unravels the Bollanet plot which saves both Evan and Vallewida. Some time later you are still living in the town waiting for Vallewida to come see you. You have just given up hope of seeing him again when you happen to run into him in the street. Ending 5 (Lusca Ending) Sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Open the box first Get some rest (before the first trial) Do as Lusca says (don't smoke) Hide the handcuffs Stay in your cell "It's nothing." (to guard in workroom) Wait in your cell (Io's Lure) Take Io to his cell Don't go with Jose Return to the workroom (from toilet) Helpful hints: Opening the box first is important because if you don't you won't "realize" that Lusca cares about you. Doing as Lusca says and not smoking will result in you walking in on him later getting a blowjob. This results in you masturbating with him the first time. The handcuffs are hidden for Lusca's benefit. If you have them hidden you go back to the waiting room and talk to him instead of going out the front with all the onlookers. When the guard in the workroom asks you what the problem is, you have to tell him it's nothing. If he knows you messed something up he will make you fix it before he lets you go see Lusca (who is waiting). If you lose this time you will not have time to engage in the second masturbation scene with Lusca. In Ending 5, Guys goes to live with Lusca after getting released to help him with his work. They unravel Belbet's cryptic words before death and discover where the body of Darling is and find the evidence of Bollanet's plot, saving both Evan and Vallewida, presumably. Lusca and Guys then settle into a happily ever after life together as lovers. Ending 6 (Jose Ending) Do not sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Choose the lot above Go to the left Open the box first Stay in your cell Wait in your cell (Io's Lure) Take Io to the medical room Go to the courtyard (from toilet) Actually, I think you can still get this ending even if you choose to sit with Jose at the beginning and get gang raped by him. Helpful hints: Going to the left will make it so you don't get accosted by those guys and get saved by Vallewida. Waiting in your cell will result in getting seduced by Io and that results in Jose approaching you further about it. Taking Io to the medical room gives Jose time to hide in your cell before roll call, which results in him raping you in your cell. You need to have sex with Jose outside of the conditions for the notebook so you can realize you love him, basically, and that won't happen if you don't have sex with Io and later take Io to the medical room. In the courtyard scene there are two versions of the Jose conversation. If you have not satisified all other conditions for this ending, the chat will be brief and dismissive. If you have satisfied the conditions for this ending so far, you will have a lengthy talk with Jose about Jared. This is a good indicator of whether you are getting this ending or not. In Ending 6, Jose gets out of prison right before the second trial and says that he will be waiting for you. When you get out, you part ways with Lusca and your parents and go to Jose's house where he is having a party for you. You go on to live with Jose and work with him, who has chosen to become a detective like Jared. This ending completely dismisses every other character. Note: This is my favorite ending/pairing! Ending 7 (Evan Ending) Sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Open the box first Get some rest (before the first trial) Smoke anyway Go outside Look for Evan in the Library Don't go with Jose Go to the courtyard (from toilet) This ending is weird. It is the only ending where Evan becomes someone very out of character, particularly in the sex scenes, because we witness very little of the development of his feelings because of his own denial of them for so long, I guess. Helpful hints: When Evan suggests you get some rest before the trial, it is important that you "follow his orders" so to speak. When Lusca tells you not to smoke, you need to do so, because if you don't you will have the first masturbation scene with Lusca in the waiting room instead of the shower masturbation scene with Evan later. The most pivotal moment in this path is leaving your cell after the first trial. You must do this only if you have satisfied all of the previous conditions, or you will die in Ending 10 instead. Fulfilling the conditions for this will result in you running into Belbet instead of getting stopped and dragged off with a guard to your death. Belbet then goes off and tries to escape instead (where he dies) and you find Evan in the library and have an important talk with him. Also, on this path is the only time you will run into Evan in the courtyard from the toilet instead of Jose. If you run into Evan in the courtyard it is a good indication that you are good to go with this ending's conditions. In Ending 7, you obliviously get out of prison and talk to Lusca about staying with him while you wait for Evan to get released. Lusca then tells you that Evan is probably going to die before being released. You then share the notebook from Belbet that Evan gave you before you left and unravel Belbet's cryptic dying words. You find the body and evidence left behind by Darling and save Evan's life, and also presumably Vallewida's. You go on to live with Evan and work as carpenters together. Ending 8 (Bad Ending 1) Do not sit with Jose Prepare the leather first Drink the wine offered In Ending 8, you witness the truth about what is going on from overhearing Evan and Vallewida talking in the medical room. You become despaired and years later die at the hands of Durer as his sex slave, both Evan and Vallewida having died long ago. Note: If you don't drink the wine you will default to Ending 10 instead. Ending 9 (Bad Ending 2) Sit with Jose Prepare the tools first Open the box first Stay out to have fun (before the first trial) Stay in your cell Look for Evan in the Library Go with Jose Supposedly you have to satisfy all of these conditions to get this ending, but I'm not sure about that. Basically this is the ending you get if you fail to get the notebook from Jose (unless you have satisfied the conditions for Ending 2 until making that choice). In Ending 9, you are ordered to take out the trash by a guard, see a ladder, try to escape and get shot and die. Ending 10 (Default Bad Ending) This is the ending that you will default to if you choose the option to leave your cell after the first trial. The only exception to this is in the Evan path (to Ending 7). In Ending 10, you are taken with a guard to pick up some contraband and try to escape and get shot and die. Tips: It is helpful to save the game at times of choice so that it is quicker to go back and change your choice if you follow a path mistakenly or want to try for unlocking any new events that are down other paths. The conditions for a winning ending are always as follows (with two exceptions): You must prepare the tools first. If you don't you will be taken off the shoe work duty and made an odd job guy. You therefore won't have the conversation with Evan upon returning to the work area after your first meeting with Lusca and find out they know each other. If Evan never talks to Lusca, Lusca will never help you and you will go to one of the Bad endings. This path is only useful for unlocking a few of the events in the game. You can't get any of the winning endings this way. After the first trial you must stay in your cell! If you leave your cell you will default to Ending 10 and die. The Evan Ending (Ending 7) is the only exception here. If you have satisfied all of the conditions for that ending thus far, you will run into Belbet before he gets killed instead of getting killed yourself. You must not go with Jose when he offers the notebook. If you go with him you will get into a fight with him and a guard will come and take the notebook away, making it impossible for you to win the second trial and you default to Ending 9. The only exception to this is the Sad Ending (Ending 2), in which you have satisfied all of the conditions for the Lusca Ending (Ending 5) up until this point, but go with Jose to his cell and fail to obtain the notebook. According to the walkthrough this is drawn from, you always need to open the box first (from Lusca in the Fifth Meeting). I'm not actually sure this is absolutely necessary for all endings. You definitely need to for the Lusca and Evan endings.
